Afolakemi Lawani

Afolakemi has been a resident of the Twin Cities for over 21 years. She started her career within the Line Manufacturing business, and as time progressed, she landed herself a job with one of the top banks within the Twins Cities. Having worked at the bank for about four years, she found her true calling when she started helping in her mother’s beauty store. Shortly after, she left the bank and became the store manager.

Through grace, she took over the store as owner and CEO. Her love for natural hair care and hair braiding propels her to be an instructor in the hair braiding space for 10 years, while she continued to pick up more hours to grow her licensed salon. In the last fifteen years, she has successfully managed and grown her hair extension store through dedication and splendid work ethics.

She is presently the President of NHCI, and one of the esteemed tutors for the school.
