With over 21 years in the Twin Cities, Afolakemi Lawani has built a thriving career in natural hair care
and entrepreneurship. After 12 years in banking, she transitioned to the beauty industry, where her passion
for natural hair led her to become a licensed salon owner and instructor with 17 years of teaching
experience. As the founder and President of the Natural Hair Care Institute, Afolakemi combines her
leadership and expertise to educate and empower the next generation of beauty professionals while
managing a successful hair extension salon for over 15 years.
